Nice Water in the Owenea
The Owenea had nice water, and this feller took the Masquerade immediately.
Ray's Brown Job
Ray seems to catch only Brown Jobs these days.
Great Landingnet
Someone
forget a net near the football field.
We left it there and maybe the owner recognizes the thing and is happy to know where he left it behind.

A nice fish from the Eany
The Masquerade strikes again. A nice fish from the Eany.
Ray Robinson and Paul Greene drink to that.

The rain came
The rain
came and Ray and me tried to catch a salmon or two.
I had one on a Black Widow, very coloured, so it went back.
And the only thing edible we took home that day were a few mushrooms.

High Pressure Day
Ray
Robinson and me trying to catch a load of big trout.
High pressure, easterly winds and bright sunshine produced an instant depression for Ray.
After fishing a couple of lakes in the Blue Stack Mountains, without
a sign of a fish, we found the one which chased all forms of angler's blues
away immediately.
So,
two happy anglers left the lake and the Blue Stacks in the last of the
gorgeous day's sunlight.
The fly of the day, like so many times before, was the Wickham's Fancy

Ray, Linus and me at it again
Since we haven't fished Lough Boyle in ages, and since there was no real flood in the rivers for weeks, the trusted trio had to go trout fishing again.
Greenwell's Glory and Bibio produced a few nice
trout for us.

Ray is resting on the way up to the lakes at Glencolumbcille.
Lakes at Glencolumbcille
Mostly the trout fishing is pretty slow in August, but today was dismal. Not a fish in sight.
Therefore a few spectacular sights of lakes, bog and ocean.

Windmill Trout
With Ray and Linus at The Windmills.
Linus caught the only good fish of the day, on a Wickham's Fancy.
Ray had naught to say to that, but to give the trout a kiss.

Battling for Trout
At a mountain lake with Raymondo. Battling hard for our trout.

Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall
Ray and Linus are preparing themselves, with chicken drumsticks and bread rolls, for the climb up to the Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall.
Steep climb
It is a pretty steep slope and it cost lots of energy to get up there, so, Marike and Ray are resting for a while, to enjoy the splendid view down the Eany Valley and Donegal Bay.

Plateau with six lakes
Once reached the top, you will find a plateau with six lakes, some of which
have brown trout. Don't expect me to tell you which ones they are.
