A salmon from the Eany

The season is coming to a close. Much too soon, as always.

Though this time of year is full of colour, there is a bit of melancholy in the air as well; at least for the game angler in me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

One last fish, on the shrimp fly, from the Eany, before it is all over for another year.

The upper reaches of the Owenea River, always good for a fish, when in spate.

The River of the Deer

Owenea means "The River of the Deer". So, it's nothing strange to see one every now and then.
