At The Cliffs
Ray is tackling up at Slieve League, to fish nearby Lough O'Muilligan.
This Lake is right beside the cliffs and is always spectacular.
Not only because of the views, but there are nice trout here too.
A bit further along there is another lake worth fishing.
It is Lough Meenavilla and has also good trout.
Fishing the Rosses
Mr. Ruediger Trautmann tackling up at Lough Leaghan Beg, Rosses, Co. Donegal.
Though the lake is not very big, it is known for its good size trout.
The best Fly, by the way, was yet again the Invicta.
Boating on Lough Unshinn
With Paul Greene and Mr. Robinson out on Lough Unshinn in South Donegal.
Whilst we could only come up with a few small Brown Trout,
Ray Robinson was catching much bigger fish. The Bugger.
Big Trout Day
Ray Robinson and me on the way up to the lakes at Glencolumcille, Co. Donegal.
On the way there are some spectacular views of Donegal's wild landscapes.
Very often there is fog obscuring a clear observation of the lakes here. But as it lifts, it's big trout only.
Really a day to remember. Where you get a trout or maybe two per day, we must have had a dozen or so. All hefty good fish. We will not tell you the names or position of the lakes we caught them in. You have to come and find out for yourself.
By the way, they all fell for an Invicta size 8.
Big Trout
Somewhere high up in the Blue Stack Mountains, there is a little lake with big fish. Let's say we call it Lough Linus, for want of a better name.
Ray Robinson is into one of these Trout.
I'm sure he will sleep well tonight, with lots of pleasant dreams.
You aren't catching a brace of Trout like that every day. By the way, both took a Wickham's.
Ruediger Trautmann strikes again
Ruediger Trautmann has mailed us these pictures.
He has caught some nice trout in Lough Leaghanbeg, Rosses, Co. Donegal.
With Ray and Ted Robinson at Lough Slug
Ted and Ray Robinson have a look at Lough Slug at Barnesmore, Co. Donegal.
There is just a heavy shower coming down at the far end.
After that was through, we enjoyed some great skies and caught a few brownies for the smoker. After all, that is what Ted came for, all the way from England.
Filming the Great Irish Trout Lakes
We are on our way to the great Irish Trout Lakes. To film a new DVD programme. Working Title: Great Irish Brown Trout Fisheries.
Splendid landscapes, splendid waters and splendid people. Just the constant easterly wind dampened things somewhat. I think we have to go back when there is a spell of good weather, lots of rain and wind.
Maybe Corrib, Mask, Sheelin and Co. yield a few more trout then.
A Trout from the Derg River
Fishing down from where the Derg River Leaves Lough Derg, Co. Donegal.
There are nice little pools and promising runs.
But, apart from one fish there is nothing to report.
At Lough Naloughraman
On the way to Lough Naloughraman, Co. Donegal.
Ray trying his damdest to catch a few trout.
The Invicta did the trick, but they weren't too keen alltogether. We caught enough to make the pan smell, just.
