Dull Day, lots of Fish

A cloudy, dull, dark day at Lough Naloughraman.

But Ray Robinson and me caught plenty of trout.  They were not the biggest ones, we had a very lifely day's fishing though.

The best flies: Bibio and Invicta.

Fishing the Rosses

Mr. Ruediger Trautmann tackling up at Lough Leaghan Beg, Rosses, Co. Donegal.

Though the lake is not very big, it is known for its good size trout.

The best Fly, by the way, was yet again the Invicta.

Big Trout Day

Ray Robinson and me on the way up to the lakes at Glencolumcille, Co. Donegal.

On the way there are some spectacular views of Donegal's wild landscapes.

Very often there is fog obscuring a clear observation of the lakes here.  But as it lifts, it's big trout only.

Really a day to remember.  Where you get a trout or maybe two per day, we must have had a dozen or so.  All hefty good fish.  We will not tell you the names or position of the lakes we caught them in.  You have to come and find out for yourself.

By the way, they all fell for an Invicta size 8.

At Lough Naloughraman

On the way to Lough Naloughraman, Co. Donegal.

Ray trying his damdest to catch a few trout.

The Invicta did the trick, but they weren't too keen alltogether.  We caught enough to make the pan smell, just.
