Brown Trout at Lough Carrowmore
Lough Carrowmore in County Mayo is famous for Salmon and Sea Trout, but has nice Brown Trout also.
What more do you want. I caught about a dozen or so in this georgeous water. All very close in and most of them took the Wickham's.
In the Partry Mountains
Mr. Ruediger Trautmann and me on the way to some lakes high up in the Partry Mountains.
We picked Loughs Nambrack and Derkmore for our day's fishing, just to the west of Maumtrasna.
Both lakes are beautifully set against the mountains and can be a pleasure to fish.
Ruediger has one on the Bibio.
It couldn't be better, could it.
We come home with a nice feed of mountain lake brown trout.
Fishing Lough Mask
Towards mighty Lough Mask, Co. Mayo.
Churchfield Shore at Toormaceady, a good place for bankfishing.
Me at Cuslough Bay, ready for a filming session on Mask.
Ruediger Trautmann and Liam Gavin looking out for a Lough Mask trout.
Unfortunately though; apart from a few perch nothing showed much interest in our flies.
But eventually we at least managed to see a few of these Lough Mask monster trouts.
Cloonaghmore Bay, Lough Conn
Lough Conn, County Mayo, beutiful weather, but easterly winds and again no fish, not from a boat and not from the banks.
Cloonaghmore Bay at Gortnore Abbey, here you can hire a boat or fish the banks, usually there is always a fish to catch.
Fishing Cloonaghmore Point, everything looked just perfect, but the fish didn't believe it.
So our highlight of the day was a spectacular sunset at nearby Lough Cullin.
