Lough Anna of the Blue Stacks

Up at Lough Annie.

There are only few “keepables”.

Nevertheless: a happy angler.

Lough Anna, pronounced Lough Annie, lies near Glenties, high up in the Blue Stack Mountains.
It used to have a good stock of decent trout.  About ten years or so spawning conditions must have been extremely good, because there was an explosion of small trout some years later. Of twenty fish or so there is only one “keepable” nowadays.
